Montgomery Biscuits News Release

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (66-71/31-36) scored seven runs in the first two innings while Dylan FLoro (11-13) went seven strong innings in a 7-1 win over the Jackson Generals (60-76/29-38) Friday night at Riverwalk.

The Biscuits' first inning got started harmlessly enough with two groundouts. Cam Hobson (8-11) then allowed a double to Taylor Motter and walked Richie Shaffer. After a double-steal, Luke Maile singled into left field to drive in both runs, giving the Biscuits a 2-0 lead.

The Biscuits then brought all nine men to the plate in the second inning. After six hits and one error from the Generals, Montgomery scored five times and led 7-0.

Floro finished his night with six strike outs and only one unearned run allowed for his eleventh win of the season. The right-hander retired the first seven batters he faced. Patrick Brady reached in the third inning on catcher's interference and later scored on a single from Dario Pizanno to make it a 7-1 game. Floro's eleven wins are tied for fourth most in Biscuits single-season history.

Montgomery finished with 12 hits. Justin O'Conner, Maile, Motter and Jake Hager all had two hits each.

The middle-game of the series is Saturday night at 7:05. RH Albert Suarez will start for the Biscuits while LH Tyler Olson will be on the hill for the Generals.
