Tulsa Oilers News Release
(25-35-4, 54 Points 4th Northwest Division)
Hello, BOK: The Tulsa Oilers have concluded the 2007-08 Central Hockey League season, and will play the 2008-09 season in the new Bank of Oklahoma Center in downtown Tulsa.
Wrap It: The Oilers concluded the regular season last week with a 4-3 win over the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, a 3-2 loss to the Rocky Mountain Rage, and a 7-5 loss to the Wichita Thunder.
Lucky Four: The Oilers had two four point games in their final week of the season. Team captain David Alexandre Beauregard had a goal and three assists against Bossier-Shreveport. He led the Oilers with 35 goals. Warren McCutcheon had a four point night in the season's last game at Wichita with two goals and two assists on Saturday.
Team Awards: Prior to Friday's home finale, the Oilers announced their team awards. Te recipients were Jeff Christian (Offensive Player of the Year); Andrew Lackner (Defensive Player of the Year); Lucas Burnett and Kai Magnussen (co-Rookies of the Year); Arthur Kiyaga (Community Service Award); Beauregard (Vic Poole Perseverance Award); McCutcheon (Most Valuable Player). In addition the Oilers also recognized three off ice officials, Ron McCutchen, Sr.; ron Kelly, and Guy Smith for lifetime service awards. The trio has combined for 87 years of service to the Oilers.
