ROANOKE, VIRGINIA - It was only a matter of time, but the Havoc finally flipped the script Saturday night, jumping out to an early lead and holding on to beat the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs 3-2.

The win snapped a six-game losing streak and gave rookie goaltender Max Milosek his first win as a professional.

"I'm really proud of our effort tonight," said Havoc Head Coach Glenn Detulleo. "Milo was awesome in net tonight and earned that first pro win in style. Our penalty kills stepped up huge and we competed very hard for a complete 60 minutes to get the win."

Trevor Gerling started things off for the Havoc (5-6-1), getting his second goal of the weekend on a powerplay to put Huntsville up 1-0 in front of the Roanoke faithful heading in to the first intermission.

Havoc forward Kyle Sharkey scored a pair of goals three minutes apart early in the second period and Huntsville found themselves with a three-goal cushion headed in to the third period.

That is when the Dawgs (5-6-0) decided to make things interesting, notching a short-handed score midway through the third and a second goal with 19 seconds left on the clock when they pulled the goalie to add an extra attacker on the ice. Thankfully for Huntsville, the clock ran out before Roanoke could do any more damage and the Havoc escaped with a 3-2 win.

Milosek was solid between the pipes, stopping 26 of the 28 shots he faced.

Derek Perl recorded a pair of assists on each of Sharkey's scores. Perl has recorded a point in each of Huntsville's wins this season, but not in any of the losses.

Gerling has four points (2g, 2a) in his last five games.
