
NYSUT Presents First Ever "Ratinee" Game

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today the details surrounding their first ever "Ratinee" day game, presented by the New York State Union of Teachers on March 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
Multiple schools from throughout the Capital Region have signed up to attend this special 11:00 a.m. game, which will feature educational and interactive demonstrations on the Times Union Center concourse designed around the Albany River Rats student workbook. The activities in the workbook focus on elementary school subjects including geography, math, nutrition, health and fitness.
While the River Rats are taking on the Binghamton Senators, students will be treated to exciting science experiments courtesy of the New York Chemical Society and the New York State Museum. Attendees will also have the chance to attend a special college preparation seminar, put on by Sienna College, or they can brows through numerous educational booths on the concourse, ranging from a dental hygiene station courtesy of Albany Access Dentistry, to a drug awareness table presented by the Albany College of Pharmacy.
