
NWSL Releases 2019 Schedule

North Carolina Courage News Release
CARY, N.C. - The North Carolina Courage will play a 24-game NWSL schedule, as released by the league today. The NC Courage will look to defend thier NWSL Championship and NWSL Shield and play at least one home match against each of the other eight teams in the league.
The regular season will kick off on Saturday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park against the Chicago Red Stars. The matchup is one of the most anticipated in the league, as the two teams have met in the NWSL Semifinal game in each of the past two seasons. Courage defenders Abby Dahlkemper and Abby Erceg will look to fend off Australian superstar and reigning NWSL Golden Boot winner, Sam Kerr.
The NC Courage will play another home match just four days later on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. against the Orlando Pride. The match will be an offensive showdown with Courage players Crystal Dunn, Jessica McDonald, and Lynn Williams looking to put the ball past Orlando's goalkeeper, Ashlyn Harris. The Orlando Pride will bring a strong offensive attack of their own in international stars Alex Morgan and Marta.
Another schedule highlight includes a match against the Portland Thorns on Saturday, June 15 at 7:45 p.m. The NWSL Championship rematch will be part of an NCFC and NC Courage doubleheader at Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park.
The NC Courage will play at least one home game a month between April and October, including three home games in the month of August. The NWSL schedule format includes a 12-day break from June 3 through June 14 during the group stage of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.
The regular season will culminate on Saturday, October 12 when the Courage host USWNT captain, Carli Lloyd, and Sky Blue FC at 7:00 p.m. Two semifinal games will be played on October 19-20, while thee NWSL Championship will be played on Saturday, October 26 at a location to be determined.
Season tickets are available now and single game ticket will be available for purchase in the coming days. The preseason schedule will also be released in the coming days.
To purchase season tickets, call the Coastal Credit Union Box Office at 919-459-8144. Purchase Managers Row season tickets by March 1 and receive 2 Owner's Club passes to be redeemed at any point during the 2019 regular seasons.
