QUOTES
New York City FC Head Coach Doménec Torrent
Thoughts on the game...
"My feeling right now is that we played very well in the first half and we could have scored more goals and when that happens you have to score, because the playoff games are not easy. "
Thoughts on Héber's and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi's injury....
"Heber had discomfort in the warm up in his calf. In the last sprint, he had discomfort and we decided not to take a risk because it is not necessary for us to play him. About Isamel, it's about his ankle, another ankle, not the same ankle, I don't know. We have a medical team in New York and I don't what will happen when these two will practice."
New York City FC Midfielder Alex Ring
Thoughts on today's performance....
"It feels good, I think we played a good game today. Philly is not an easy place to come and play, from my experience at least, and I think especially in the first half we had a really good game."
Thoughts on players stepping up due to injuries...
"You always have to be ready when you get the chance and Mata usually plays and I still think he came in fantastic. I don't know if he even warmed up because I think Héber injured himself in the last sprint, Jesus came on for Ismael today, you know, it's not easy, but I think that speaks to our character as a team."
Thoughts going into the playoffs....
"Playoffs are different. Playoffs are one game, knock out game, it's going to be completely different. It's important for us to win, but now those wins won't help us in the future against these teams. We just have to go out on the pitch and compete and we have to win."
New York City FC Defender Anton Tinnerholm
Thoughts on today's performance....
"It's my first game for over two weeks now and it's was not 100%. So it's good to get back.I think I needed it before the playoff game. I think we're going to have some kind of scrimmage before it, now and next weekend I hope so it's not a too big break because it's a little bit weird when were play a full season once a week, or twice a week and now were going to have a break for two and a half weeks. So, we have to plan it well and it's good for me to be back on the pitch and feeling fine with my head and that's the most important right now.
Thoughts on break before playoffs...
"Right now, we were focused on this game so we haven't thought so much about what's going to come, but of course now were going to talk it through and like I said I think we're going to have some sort of scrimmage to keep the legs going and then we're going to take it from therem but of course it's a big break but it's an international break, so there's nothing you can do about it and then you have to be 100% to start the playoff run."
