Norfolk Tides News Release
Sunday evening's International League contest between the Tides and Durham Bulls was cancelled after heavy rains halted play with one out in the bottom of the second inning. The game will not be made up, as the Bulls and Tides are not slated to play again this season.
The game was scoreless in the second inning, as Tides starter Jay Flaa allowed one hit over two shutout frames. Austin Hays was at the plate in the second frame, but heavy rains stopped play.
After an off day Monday, the Tides will welcome in the Indianapolis Indians to Harbor Park on Tuesday for the start of a three-game set. LHP Keegan Akin (4-5, 4.76) is scheduled to start for the Tides, with first pitch slated for 7:05.
