Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg Hillcats' announce the promotion of slugger Jhonkensy Noel to the Cleveland Indians High-A affiliate the Lake County Captains on Tuesday afternoon. The 20-year-old played just 38 games with the 'Cats, dealing with an injury that kept him out through June and half of July. However, Noel still managed to put up monster numbers in Lynchburg. Some of his stats include:
11 homers and a team-high 40 RBIs with the Hillcats
An average of .393 and slugging percentage of .693
Since being activated off the injured list on July 20th, Noel has 19 RBIs in 23 games and has put together nine multi-hit outings
Noel takes a six-game hitting streak up to Lake County, where the Captains are hosting Great Lakes this week.
