Florence Y'alls News Release
FLORENCE, Ky - For the second time in the 2021 Frontier League season, the Florence Y'alls have dropped two games in a row. On Tuesday night, the Washington Wild Things defeated Florence by a score of 13-5, scoring nine runs in the fifth inning.
Washington's Bralin Jackson started the scoring in the fourth with a softly hit ball to right field that ended up leaving Y'alls Ballpark for a solo home run. In the bottom half, reigning Frontier League Player of the Week Harrison DiNicola put Florence ahead with a 2-run home run.
With two outs in the top of the fifth, disaster struck for the Y'alls. Eight Wild Things batters consecutively reached base safely before the final out was recorded. Two 3-run home runs highlighted the 9-run inning as Andrew Czech and Nick Ward left the yard.
Florence attempted to claw back in the bottom of the fifth. Trevor Craport hit a 3-run home run of his own to make the score 10-5. Craport went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
