NHL Defenseman Conditioning in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President and General Manager Larry Pleau today announced that the club has assigned defenseman Bryce Salvador to the Blues American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Worcester IceCats on a conditioning stint. The IceCats were also reassigned forward Johnny Pohl.

A native of Brandon, Manitoba, Salvador skated for three seasons with the IceCats beginning in 1997-98. In 170 career regular season games with Worcester, his totals reflect seven goals, 34 assists and 256 penalty minutes: 170(7/34/41) 256. He was recently named to the starting lineup for the IceCats 10th Anniversary Team.

The 6-2 Salvador has played the last three seasons with the IceCats NHL affiliate, the St. Louis Blues. In those three seasons with the Note, he's participated in 212 regular season games, registering nine goals, 23 assists and 242 PIM's: 212(9/23/32) 242.

Pohl has skated in all seven ‘Cats games this season and is tied for the team lead in goals scored with three. He has also added an assist to his second-season totals: 7(3/1/4). He was recalled yesterday but did not skate in last night's Blues game.
