Chad Kilger assigned to Bulldogs for conditioning purposes

Montreal Canadiens' general Manager, Bob Gainey, today announced that forward Chad Kilger has been assigned to the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs for conditioning purposes.

Kilger, 26, suffered an eye injury on September 14th, during the Canadiens' training camp. He has not played a game yet this season.

Kilger, a 6'4, 224 pound forward from Cornwall, Ontario, skated in 60 games with the Canadiens last season, while earning 16 points (9-7-16) and 21 penalty minutes. Kilger previously played in six games with the Hamilton Bulldogs during the 1999-00 season and posted six points (4-2-6) and four minutes in penalties.

The Bulldogs will play three games in three days this weekend. They will first visit the Rochester Americans on Friday, October 31st (8:05 p.m.), before hosting the Cleveland Barons on Saturday, November 1st (7:00 p.m.) and Sunday, November 2nd (4:00 p.m.), at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton.
