New Look Website Unveiled for Condors
September 27, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release
The Bakersfield Condors have unveiled their completely revamped official website, www.bake rsfieldcondors.com, going live with it this morning. The new site was designed by Jason Best at IWS/D, a local Bakersfield company, and will continue to be hosted by The Marcom Group.
The website features a new layout that includes team news, community appearances and updates, and recent ECHL news all on the front page. A schedule preview with links to purchase tickets online appears on the main page as well, and a current feature counts down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until the drop of the puck on October 22nd for Opening Night against Victoria at Centennial Garden.
The online Condors Poll remains on the site, and during the season will be used to determine the Kern Trophies Condor of the Month. Currently, it asks which of the newest Condors are fans looking forward to seeing play this season. A new Photo of the Week debuts on the site at the top of the front page as well. The roster page will also feature action shots once the season starts and is updated for the current roster of signed players. The Colonel Claw'd's Kids Club page features online registration and games for the kids. Fans can also listen to all Condors games online and check out the live streaming video feed from Centennial Garden during home games.
Fans have had a sneak preview at online changes with the new email notifications that started earlier last week. Anyone can sign up to receive emails for post-game reports, player signings, community appearances and other Condors news by registering on the team website. The emails can be received in HTML or text-only format, by selecting when signing up.
"We're really happy about the new site," said Condors Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting Kevin Bartl. "Bakersfieldcondors.com has been in need of a change and IWS/D was able to come up with something we really liked. It's informative and easy to navigate and we welcome everyone to hop online and check it out."
