Wildcatters To Host Exhibition Game October 16th

BEAUMONT, TX (September 23, 2004) The Texas Wildcatters announced today they will host a preseason match-up against the Louisiana IceGators. The game will take place at Ford Arena on Saturday, October 16th at 6:05 pm and is free with a paid, same-day admission to the YMBL South Texas State Fair.
The Wildcatters are 2-13 against Louisiana all-time and are seeking revenge early and often this year. The rivalry between these two clubs now extends to the AHL as the Wildcatters affiliate San Antonio Rampage are division foes of the Houston Aeros, affiliate of the Louisiana IceGators.
"We are happy to get back on the ice. The IceGators were tough for us last season, but this season we are going to have a more competitive club on the ice. I am looking forward to the way the team will match up against the IceGators," said Head Coach Robert Dirk.
The Wildcatters will face off against the IceGators twelve times this season, including six home games and six road games. For the second straight season, the Wildcatters will open up their home schedule with a game versus Louisiana on Saturday, October 30.
2004-05 season tickets are now on sale. Season ticket holders enjoy the same great seats for all 36 games without waiting in line at the box office.
