
New Hampshire Legends Of Hockey Announce Junior Invitational

MANCHESTER, NH - The New Hampshire Legends of Hockey will host the first NH Legends of Hockey Junior Invitational at Tri-Town Ice Arena in Hooksett, New Hampshire, January 19-21, 2007, Executive Director Jim Hayes announced today.
The tournament will feature eight teams from the Eastern Junior Hockey League, eight teams from the Empire Junior Hockey League, with one independent team, and four midget division teams. The 20 team tournament will play 31 games over three days.

Boston Harbor Wolves, Green Mountain Glades, New England Jr. Huskies, New England Jr. Falcons, New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs, New York Apple Core, Syracuse Stars, Valley Jr. Warriors
Empire Junior Hockey League
Fitchburg Jr. Huskies, Florida Eels (independent team), Foxboro Stars, New England Jr. Falcons, New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs, New York Apple Core, Pittsburgh Jr. Penguins, Syracuse Stars, Valley Jr. Warriors
Midget Division
New England Jr. Huskies, Florida Eels, Springfield Falcons, TBA
The New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs and the New England Jr. Huskies are the host teams of the NH Legends of Hockey Junior Invitational. The New England Jr. Huskies are one of the founding teams of the EJHL. The Jr. Monarchs have won three EJHL Championships in the last five years. General Manager and Head Coach Sean Tremblay was the 2002 and 2006 EJHL Coach of the Year.
Over 40 players from the Jr. Monarchs have moved on to play hockey at Division One schools, over 25 have gone on to play for Division Three schools and seven have been selected in the NHL Entry Draft. The tournament is expected to have over 50 professional scouts on hand watching the players compete.
