Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms are looking forward to welcoming members of the Springfield Township community to Friday night's 7:05 PM game against the Providence Bruins at the Wachovia Spectrum.

In mid-December, the Springfield community was shaken by a tragedy at Springfield High School. In the days following, the Phantoms made arrangements with the Township to donate 1,750 tickets to tomorrow's game in an effort to bring residents together for an evening of good times.

The team sent 700 tickets to Springfield High School, 550 to the district's middle school, 200 to each of the district's two elementary schools, and 100 for use by members of the police and fire departments and other members of the community.

"Helping the communities in and around the Delaware Valley is of the utmost importance to our organization," said Phantoms Chief Operating Officer Frank Miceli. "The people in Springfield Township have supported us for many years, and we are happy to do whatever we can to help them through this difficult time."

Tomorrow's contest is the first of two consecutive home games for the Phantoms. On Saturday, the Lowell Devils will come in for Philadelphia's final game of 2006, again at 7:05 PM. Individual tickets for all Phantoms games, including $8 tickets for children 14 and under anywhere in the building, are on sale now at phantomshockey.com or by calling 800-298-4200.
