Admirals Switch Out Goaltenders

Milwaukee, WI-The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that they have recalled goaltender Scott Reid from the New Mexico Scorpions of the Central Hockey League. In addition the Admirals have released goaltender Mike McKenna from his try-out contract.

Reid notched a 3-6 mark and a 2.88 goals against average with a .897 save percentage in 11 appearances with the Admiarls earlier this season. He was 1-1-1 with a .894 save percentage and a 3.28 GAA in three games with New Mexico. The Grand Prairie, ALTA native posted his first career AHL shutout versus Manitoba in a 2-0 win on October 20th.

McKenna played in one game for the Admirals and was not involved in the decision. In 15 games this season with the Las Vegas Wranglers, McKenna posted a 9-1-5 record with a 2.27 goals against average, a .927 save percentage and a pair of shutouts. The St. Louis, MO native had a 4-2-1 mark with a 2.13 GAA in seven games last year for the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.

The Admirals are back in action at the Bradley Center for a 7:00 pm game on Friday night versus the Grand Rapids Griffins. The first 5,000 fans to the game on Friday night will receive a cowbell, courtesy of Potawatomi Bingo Casino.
