Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release
MIDLAND, Texas. - For the second straight night the Naturals put together a ninth-inning rally only to fall one hit and one run short of a tie as the Midland RockHounds completed the sweep of Northwest Arkansas with a 9-8 final on Tuesday night from Security Bank Ballpark.
Northwest Arkansas (44-38/4-8) blew the game open in the second inning off RockHounds' starter Jake Sanchez plating five runs on five hits in the frame. Raul Mondesi's two-run double and Parker Morin's run scoring two-bagger highlighted the inning for the Naturals.
Midland chipped away getting two back in the second and third run in the fourth off right-hander Miguel Almonte who went 4.0 innings allowing three runs on five hits with three strikeouts in a no-decision effort.
Terrance Gore stayed hot at the plate driving in his 11th RBI of the season in the sixth inning to extend the Naturals advantage to 6-3. Gore finished 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base and is now 7-for-8 with two RBI and three stolen bags over his last two games.
