Drillers and Missions Rained Out
July 7, 2015 - Texas League (TL1)
Tulsa Drillers News Release
The Tulsa Drillers homestand finale Tuesday night with the San Antonio Missions was postponed due to rain. Showers moved into the downtown Tulsa area late Tuesday afternoon and the forecast called for them to persist through much of the evening hours.
It is the fifth rainout at ONEOK Field this season for the Drillers.
Since the game was the final scheduled meeting in Tulsa between the two teams this season, it will now have to be made up in San Antonio as part of a doubleheader. The Drillers are scheduled to play the Missions July 11-13.
Fans holding tickets to Tuesday's rained out game may exchange them for like tickets to any other 2015 regular season game at ONEOK Field, based on availability.
Tulsa will be back in action Wednesday night when it opens a six-game road trip in Corpus Christi. The opener is slated to begin at 7:05PM at Whataburger Field. Ross Stripling (1-2, 5.54 ERA) is scheduled to pitch for the Drillers, while Brian Holmes (3-2, 2.50 ERA) will take the mound for the Hooks.
