Hit the Road: Dustin Fowler has been hot at the plate recently, especially on the road. He has a 14-game road hitting streak, which is the third longest active streak of its kind in the PCL. During the 14-game stretch he is batting .468 (29-for-62) with 15 runs, 9 RBI, 5 doubles, 4 triples, and 1 home run. On the season he is batting .388 on the road compared to .306 at First Tennessee Park.

Late Loss: Last night the Sounds fell after leading through eight innings for just the second time this season. Nashville is 50-2 when leading after eight innings. The Sounds are now 8-4 in games decided by a walk-off.

Eliminated: Nashville's playoff hopes came to an end with last night's loss. Memphis' victory clinched them the division for the second straight season. The Redbirds have clinched the division against the Sounds in back-to-back seasons.

Snapped Streaks: Last night two streaks came to an end for the Sounds. Sheldon Neuse's 10-game hitting streak came to an end and Liam Hendriks' scoreless streak was snapped. Hendriks had made 14 straight scoreless appearances and his streak reached 17.0 innings, which is the second longest scoreless streak by a Sounds pitcher this season behind James Nailes stretch of 18.1 scoreless innings to begin the season.
