From the Notes

June Summary: Although the Sounds could not get the win last night to go above .500 for the month, June was still good for Nashville. Offensively, they hit their best in batting average (.270) and slashed their highest in all three categories (.348/.422/.770). Their pitching also recorded the lowest ERA (4.92) and set month-highs in saves (10) and strikeouts (233).

Brand New Guys: Infielders Juremi Profar and Christian Lopes have played well with the Sounds since their promotion from Double-A Frisco. Profar has hit safely in all five games he has played in and is hitting .350 (7-for-20) with 6 runs scored, 2 RBI and 2 walks. Lopes has record multi-hit efforts in three-of-four games with the Sounds, hitting .545 (6-for-11) with 4 runs, 2 doubles, 4 RBI, 3 walks and 2 stolen bases.

Rehabbing Roster: With Isiah Kiner-Falefa joining the Sounds on rehab today, the Sounds are up to 28 players on the roster with three players on rehab. Scott Heineman is on his second rehab assignment while right-handed pitcher Kyle Dowdy just being added on June 29. Kiner-Falefa, who is recovering from a right middle finger ligament sprain, has hit .231 (25-for-108) with 15 runs, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 13 RBI in 38 games with Texas.

Bird Flying High: With two more shutout innings on Sunday night, Kyle Bird has extended his scoreless innings streak to 10.1 innings. He last allowed a run with the Sounds on May 12 at Memphis. In the eight-game span, he is 1-0 and has struck out 12 batters to six walks. He has limited hitters to a .270 (10-for-37) average.
