Above .500 in the Early Going: At 1-1 through a pair of games, the Sounds are looking for another 2-1 start. Over the past eight years, Nashville has started the season 2-1 or better six times. The only years Nashville didn't start 2-1 or better during that span was in 2012 when they started 0-3 and 2016 when they started 1-2.
Mateo Setting the Pace: Shortstop Jorge Mateo has a pair of multi-hit games in Nashville's first two games of the season and has five hits total. He is tied for the Pacific Coast League lead with Memphis second baseman and former Athletics farmhand Max Shrock. Mateo's five hits are the most through two games in his career.
