Game 3 - Home Game 3

Today's Game: Reno enters tonight's contest 2-0 in the young season, alone atop the Pacific Coast league Pacific Northern Division. Former Atlanta Braves star Kris Medlen takes the mound for the Aces in game three of the five game set with the high-powered offense looking to duplicate their suc-cess from the previous two nights.

Rare Showing: Jack Reinheimer hit his first home run of the 2018 season off right-hander Jacob Norris. It's been 323 days since Reinheimer's last home run. The infielder homered on May 18, 2017, with Reno.

Top Tucker: Kyle Tucker, the Houston Astros number two prospect according to Baseball America, hit his first Triple-A home run last night vs. Michael Blazek. Tucker hit 25 home runs between High-A and Double-A last season and has 38 total in his career. The 21-year-old was drafted in the first round of the f2015 first-year player draft.

Overcoming Obstacles: Aces right-hander Taylor Clarke (1-0) has overcome numerous obstacles throughout his career. In a recent article with MiLB.com, the D-backs' number seven prospect said dealing with right-side facial paralysis since birth, a weakness of the muscles that can cause some of his speech to be slurred, "has never been an issue". Tommy John surgery in 2013 while at Towson University added to his uncertain future. Last night, Clarke recorded his Triple-A best nine strikeouts.
