
Nashville Soccer Club Earns Thrilling Road Win at Sporting Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Nashville Soccer Club earned its second consecutive road win on Saturday night in a 2-1 victory over Sporting Kansas City at Children's Mercy Park. Defender Dave Romney registered his first goal of the season off a set piece in the 51st minute from a service from Randall Leal, with CJ Sapong securing the game-winner in the 68th minute.
Dynamic Dave: Dave Romney scored his second goal with Nashville SC (fifth in Major League Soccer), both of which have come on the road (Aug. 26, 2020 at ORL). Romney played all 90 minutes tonight and is the only Nashville SC outfield player to have played every minute in 2022.
Mukhtar Magic: Hany Mukhtar earned a secondary assist tonight on Romney's goal after feeding Leal to begin the set piece. Mukhtar has now recorded assists in three consecutive matches and four in his last five. Mukhtar finished the match tied for second in MLS in assists.
Two Goal Recipe: Nashville SC owns a 16W-0L-5D all-time record when scoring two or more goals in a match.
