Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Soccer Club wrapped up the 2021 MLS campaign with a 1-1 draw against New York Red Bulls on Sunday afternoon at Nissan Stadium. With the draw, Nashville SC secured the third spot in the Eastern Conference, and will open the first round of the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs at home against Orlando City SC.
Playoff ticketing information and how to secure seats for the first round of the 2021 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs will be announced tomorrow. Additional information such as the date of the match, kickoff time and broadcast information will be included in the announcement tomorrow. Tickets for Nashville SC's home playoff match start at just $24 and fans who become a 2022 Season Ticket Member will receive preferred playoff seating locations for the entire post-season.
Nashville SC continues to make history in its young run as an MLS franchise as The Boys in Gold became just the fourth team in the modern expansion era to clinch a spot in the playoffs in back-to-back seasons since joining MLS along with Atlanta United FC, LAFC and Seattle Sounders FC.
More Mukhtar MVP Moments: Hany Mukhtar continues his MLS MVP campaign with a stunning solo goal off a free kick to bring his season goal total up to 16. The midfielder finished in a tie for third in the Eastern Conference for goals scored. Mukhtar is ranked first in MLS in combined goals + assists with a total of 28. Mukhtar leads Nashville SC in goals (16), assists (12), shots taken (94), and shots on target (43).
The Unbeaten Home Season: After a long stretch of away games through September and October, Nashville SC returned to Nissan Stadium to finish out the regular season at home. With today's result, Nashville SC becomes one of only seven clubs in MLS history to have made it through an entire season without a loss at home. Nashville SC is unbeaten in its last 18 home matches, dating back to an Audi MLS Cup Playoff win over Inter Miami CF in Nov. 2020. The Boys in Gold currently hold the longest active unbeaten streak in MLS with 17 consecutive home matches unbeaten in the regular season this year.
