SEATTLE, WASH. - After a 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy Monday evening, Seattle Sounders FC (17-8-8, 59 points) aims to clinch the top spot in the Western Conference on Decision Day, heading north of the border to face Cascadia rival Vancouver Whitecaps FC (12-9-11, 47 points) on Sunday, November 7 at BC Place (3:00 p.m. PT / FOX 13+, Prime Video, Univision-Seattle, KJR 1090 AM, El Rey 1360 AM).

On top of Western Conference seeding implications, Sounders FC heads into its last regular-season match of 2021 with plenty riding on the line. The club could clinch the 2021 Cascadia Cup with a result against Vancouver, and also secure a spot in the 2022 Concacaf Champions League with a first or second-place finish in the West.

One point ahead of Sporting Kansas City and the Colorado Rapids for first place in the Western Conference, a Seattle win would clinch first seed and a first-round bye in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. In the Cascadia Cup standings, Sounders FC sits level with Portland with six points, with Whitecaps FC three points behind.

Seattle and Vancouver have a rich history that dates back over 40 years to the NASL days of both teams. The two sides have matched up a total of 145 times, with Seattle holding the advantage with a current 71-50-24 all-time record against the Canadian side. In MLS play, the Rave Green have a 15-7-7 record in the regular season, outscoring Whitecaps FC 48-31, including a 13-match unbeaten streak (9-0-4) dating back to April 14, 2017. Seattle also holds a 1-0-1 record against Vancouver in the postseason.

After the match concludes, FOX 13 is airing a post-Decision Day special "Seattle Sports Live: Sounders Edition" at 6:00 p.m. PT.
