NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Durham catcher Ford Proctor reached base three times and four Bulls relievers combined for six scoreless innings for the second straight night, however Nashville starter Josh Lindblom tossed five scoreless frames while designated hitter Tyler White homered in the Sounds' 2-1 victory on Saturday evening at First Horizon Park.

The Sounds started the scoring in the opening frame when Turang clubbed an RBI double to right. That advantage would extend to two in the subsequent frame via White's longball. The score would remain the same until the seventh, when 2B Miles Mastrobuoni came plateward on a wild pitch to make it 2-1, however Durham would strand the tying run at third base.

Turang (2-4, 2B, RBI) was the only batter from either team to record a multi-hit effort. Proctor (0-1, 3 BB) drew three walks in four plate appearances, while Mastrobuoni (1-3, R, BB) reached base twice with a hit and a walk.

Lindblom (5.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 SO) earned the win with his five scoreless frames, while Trevor Kelley (1.0 IP, SO) notched the save. Durham righty Calvin Faucher (2.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, SO) suffered the defeat while Bulls relievers Dusten Knight (2.0 IP, BB, 2 K), Ralph Garza Jr. (1.0 IP, H, SO), Cristofer Ogando (2.0 IP, BB, SO) and Colin Poche (1.0 IP, 3 SO) combined for six shutout innings.

In their last two games, Durham's bullpen has combined for 12.1, yielding just four hits. Poche, who had not appeared in a game since 2019 prior to April 7, has retired six of seven batters faced in two scoreless frames, including five punchouts.

The two teams are set to finish their six-game series on Sunday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 3:05pm ET. Durham's starter has not yet been determined, while LHP Ethan Small is scheduled to toe the rubber for Nashville.

The Bulls begin their 2022 home slate at Durham Bulls Athletic Park with a six-game series versus the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Tuesday, April 12. First pitch for Opening Night at Durham Bulls Athletic Park is scheduled for 6:35pm.
