Wheeling Nailers News Release

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announce the 10th anniversary logo of the Nailers. Wheeling will be celebrating its tenth season with the Nailers name and will feature the anniversary logo on many of the team's printed materials.

The logo is the traditional Nailers mask and nails logo with a large, steal Roman numeral X as a backdrop. There is a gold banner that flows behind the Nailers mask with the year 1996 on the left side and 2005 on the right to signify the years the organization has been called the Nailers.

The new logo will not be used as the primary logo for the Nailers game jerseys, but it will be featured on all official game pucks and a special jersey to be worn during the team's celebration weekend. The Nailers will celebrate their 10th Anniversary with games and activities for all ages during a weekend to be announced soon. The anniversary jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds to benefit the Golden Spike Association Tickets for Kids Program.

This will be the team's 14th season in Wheeling, with the first four years the team being called the Wheeling Thunderbirds. Before moving to Wheeling, the Thunderbirds spent four seasons in Winston-Salem, NC.

The Wheeling Nailers Sweepstakes is now under way.
