Nailers Announce Training Camp Schedule

WHEELING,WV - The Wheeling Nailers, "AA" Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, announced today the 2010-11 training camp schedule.

Training camp begins on Oct. 1 and will run through Oct. 10. All on-ice sessions will be held at WesBanco Arena. All practices are open to the public. Off-ice workouts are held at Centre Town Fitness, the official fitness facility of the Wheeling Nailers.

Highlighting the training camp is the Nailers inaugural Fan Day, team meet and greet at River City Ale Works and the three preseason games. The Fan Day will take place on Oct. 4 from 6pm - 7 pm, and is open to all of Nailer Nation.

The first preseason game will be played at the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown, PA, as the Nailers host the Toledo Walleye on Oct. 6. On Oct. 8 the Nailers will host the defending Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones at WesBanco Arena at 7:35 pm. On Saturday Oct. 9 the Nailers will return the favor traveling to Cincinnati, OH to battle the Cyclones in the third and final preseason game.

Friday, Oct. 1 3:00 p.m. practice at WesBanco Arena

Saturday, Oct. 2 10:00 a.m. practice at WesBanco Arena (Booster Club Steak Fry with the players at 6:00 p.m.)

Sunday, Oct. 3 10:00 a.m. practice at WesBanco Arena

Monday, Oct. 4 6:00 p.m. Practice & Fan Day at WesBanco Arena (Season Ticket Pick Up Day)

Tuesday Oct. 5 10:00 a.m. practice at WesBanco Arena ( Team Meet & Greet at 7:00 PM River City Ale Works)

Wednesday, Oct. 6 10:00 a.m. practice at WesBanco Arena; 7:00 p.m. preseason game @ Johnstown vs. Toledo

Thursday, Oct. 7 10:00 a.m. Wheeling Nailers Charity Golf Outing

Friday, Oct. 8 10:00 a.m. practice at WesBanco Arena; Preseason game vs. Cincinnati

Saturday, Oct. 9 7:30 p.m. preseason game @ Cincinnati

Sunday, Oct. 10 Day Off (Team BBQ )
