Musketeers Promote Abalan, Add Huffman

Sioux City, Iowa - The Sioux City Musketeers have Promoted Mark Abalan to Associate Head Coach, and named Jamie Huffman as their Assistant General Manager and Director of Scouting for the 2015-16 season.
Abalan, who was hired by then Head Coach Brett Larson, enters his fifth season with the team. His primary duties are with the defensemen and the power play. He came to the Musketeers after a stint as an Assistant Coach with Shattuck St. Mary's U16 team in Faribault, Minnesota. Prior to Shattuck, he spent 10 years coaching with the Duluth East Bantam A team.
Huffman, the newest member of the Musketeers recruiting staff, fills a void left by outgoing Assistant General Manager Kalle Larsson, who accepted the Director of Player Personnel position with the Dubuque Fighting Saints in August.
Prior to joining the Sioux City organization, he spent four years as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator with the NAHL's Austin Bruins. During his time with the Bruins, he led scouting and recruiting efforts that helped the Bruins claim back-to-back berths in the Robertson Cup Finals, two Central Division Playoff Championships and three Regular Season Division Championships.
