June 26, 2012 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Carolina Mudcats News Release
ZEBULON, NC - Late Tuesday morning, Muddy the Mudcat and three Carolina Mudcats players visited the WakeMed Children's Hospital in Raleigh. Eastern North Carolina's favorite mascot took the trip along with pitchers Will Roberts, Michael Goodnight and Grant Sides to help cheer up the children.
The players took the time to go room to room to talk with each child about their favorite sports, classes in school and hobbies. The players and Muddy signed autographs and took pictures with the children.
These three pitchers and Muddy the Mudcat lifted the spirits of the children in the hospital and the players were lifted up by the smiles and courageousness of each child they met. For more information regarding visits to WakeMed Children's Hospital please contact Chris Schmidt at (919) 350-8121.
