ZEBULON, NC - Jesus Aguilar had enough of Frederick's scoreless innings streak. The first baseman clubbed two home runs and led the Mudcats to an 8-6 win over the Keys in front of 4,502 on Tuesday night at Five County Stadium.

The All-Star Futures selection finished with three hits and four RBI. Francisco Jimenez (6-5) tossed seven strong innings, allowing three runs on five hits, as Carolina improved to 4-2, 36-40.

Scott Copeland (3-7) took the loss for the Keys (3-3, 30-46), allowing six runs on eight hits over five innings.

The Mudcats trailed 3-0 after four innings before Aguilar snapped the Keys' record 29-innings scoreless streak with a towering blast over the left field wall. Trailing 3-2, Bo Greenwell drew a two-out walk. Tyler Cannon followed with a ground rule double, and Anthony Gallas singled home both for a 4-3 lead.

Giovanny Urshela padded the lead with a solo dinger off the left field scoreboard in the fifth. Aguilar doubled off the left field wall, and scored on a single by Carlos Moncrief for a 6-3 lead.

In the eighth, Aguilar finished his monster night with a two-run blast to left for an 8-3 lead.

Frederick scored three in the ninth against reliever J.D. Reichenbach, but stranded the tying run on base.
