Mudbugs Release Promotional Schedule

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League today announced a full slate of promotions for their 2010-11 home schedule. Each game will have a special theme, including at least one game per month devoted specifically to a charitable cause.
A number of games this season are designed to bring the Mudbugs and our fans together to benefit local charities. To that end, we're bringing back events like "Pink in the Rink" with the local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Feb. 25 & 26), "Light the Night" with the American Cancer Society (Oct. 22) and "JDRF Night" with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (Mar. 12).
We're also resuming partnerships with local charities for food and toy drives during the holidays and a coat drive on Friday, December 10, a night which also benefits Med Camps of Louisiana for special needs children. For the first time ever, Mudbugs fans will be able to vote on a charity to be the beneficiary of our "Fans' Choice Charity Night" on Friday, January 28 vs. Fort Wayne.
The Mudbugs will enjoy two significant celebrations of franchise history this season, honoring former goaltender Ken Carroll on our CenturyTel Center 10th Anniversary Night and retiring the #11 jersey of former player and current General Manager Jason "Soupy" Campbell on New Year's Day - the first day of 2011.
Our 2010-11 promo schedule features a number of popular returning themes such as "Military Appreciation Night" on Nov. 13, "Back in Black Night" on Jan. 20, "NASCAR Night" on Feb. 18, "Pucks N Prayers" on Mar. 5 and a pair of Scout Nights on Nov. 12 and Feb. 4. We will also honor local police, firefighters and other public servants on Jan. 29 with "Hometown Heroes Night".
A few of the fun new themes for this season include "School Spirit Night" on Oct. 21, "Exterminator Night" featuring cast members from the popular A&E show "Billy the Exterminator" on Dec. 17, Star Wars Night on Jan. 22, "Guys Night Out" just after Valentine's Day on Feb. 15 and "80's Night" on Mar. 11.
