
Mudbugs fall 3-0 to Killer Bees

Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
HIDALGO, TX -- The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs were unable to capitalize on power play opportunites in the first period against Rio Grande Valley on Wednesday night. The Killers Bees were first to scored as Bill Newson tallied a powerplay goal at the end of the period.
The Mudbugs would receive four more opportunites on the man adavantage in the second period but could not convert. The Killer Bees scored a short handed goal as Dennis Maxwell jammed a puck past John DeCaro.
The Mudbugs ran into the same problem in the third, unable to put anything in the net. The Killer Bees got one more goal from Jason Cirone to a three goal lead. Jeremy Symington picked up the shutout as the Mudbugs lost by a final score of three to nothing.
