LAREDO, Texas - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks rallied from an early deficit to power their way to a 5-1 victory over the visiting Lubbock Cotton Kings in front on 5,009 fans at the LEC on Wednesday night. Forward Igor Agarunov scored a pair of goals as the Bucks won their second straight and seventh in the last eight games. Laredo is a Southern Conference best 9-4-0 with 18 points. The Bucks are extending an offer from their family to yours for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Bucks are offering a family four pack of tickets for $48 for the game on Friday against Oklahoma City at the LEC. It's LNB night on Friday with the first 2,000 fans receiving a water bottle courtesy of LNB. The Cotton Kings scored first capitalizing on power play chance. Forward Bobby Brown found defenseman Stacey Bauman cutting down the slot and Bauman went top shelf with a wrist shot stick side at 9:01 for a 1-0 Lubbock lead.

The Bucks tied the game early in the second period. Forward Kris MacPhee found Agarunov cutting in front for tip in goal at 2:27. It was the fourth of the season for Agarunov. Late in the period Laredo took their first lead of the game. Forward Serge Dube cut into the Lubbock zone shorthanded and centered to forward Jeff Bes who was stopped on his initial backhand shot, but lifted home the rebound for his first of the season and a 2-1 Bucks lead at 18:18.

In the third period the Bucks broke it open. Forward Chris Korchinski scored five hole on a wrist shot at 1:52 for his sixth of the season and a 3-1 advantage. Then Agarunov potted his second of the game on a shot from the left circle at 7:46. Late in the game Bes worked a perfect give and go and set up forward Leo Thomas for a tip in at 14:56 to finish the scoring. It was the seventh of the season for Thomas. FINAL SCORE Laredo 5, Lubbock 1.

Nathan Marsters stopped 32 of 33 shots and improved to 5-2-0. Kyle Stanton allowed five goals on 32 shots and fell to 6-2-1. The Bucks were 1-5 on the power play, while Lubbock went 1-8. The Cotton Kings out shot the Bucks 33-32.
