
'Mr. Belding' to Host School Spirit Night on May 11

SALT LAKE CITY (May 9, 2012) - On Friday, May 11, Dennis Haskins, 'Mr. Belding' from NBC's "Saved By the Bell," will host School Spirit Night at Spring Mobile Ballpark as the Bees take on the Round Rock Express at 6:35 p.m. America's favorite principal will serve as the on-field emcee for the night's festivities as well as throw out the ceremonial first pitch. 'Mr. Belding' will also be available for autographs and photos on the concourse following the seventh-inning stretch.
In addition, the Bees will recognize local high schools and colleges in attendance and incorporate students in on-field competitions. The Bees will also give away four Utah Educational Savings Certificates to select students during the game.
All area high school and college students are encouraged to attend the game and can purchase a discounted $8 ticket by calling 801-325-BASE. Gates open at 5:35 p.m.
About Dennis Haskins Haskins portrayed 'Mr. Belding' for 11 seasons on "Saved by the Bell" during the show's run on NBC's Saturday morning lineup from 1989-1993 as well as on "Saved by the Bell: The New Class" from 1993-2000. Haskins developed 'Mr. B' into a part of American teen culture. The show is still in syndication, and at its peak, "Saved by the Bell" went to over 87 countries.
