
Moussa Diabate Named G League Player of the Week

The NBA G League announced today that Ontario Clippers center Moussa Diabate has been named G League Player of the Week for games played from Monday, December 5, through Sunday, December 11. This is Diabate's first Player of the Week award in his rookie season. During the week, Diabate led the team to a 2-0 record while averaging 26.0 points, 21.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
Diabate recorded 28 points, 23 rebounds, three assists, one blocked shot and one steal against the Salt Lake City Stars on December 8, placing him at number one for rebounds per game in the G League last week. On December 10 against the Salt Lake City Stars, he notched his second double-double of the week with 24 points and 20 rebounds, leading the team to their fourth consecutive win.
In his rookie season, Diabate is averaging 19.2 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists, ranking second in the G League in rebounds per game. The Clippers are currently 3-0 in the month of December with an overall 12-2 record, the best in the G League this season.
