Motor City Mechanics News Release


Fraser, MI – The Motor City Mechanics went 1-1 last week, suffering a loss at home to Port Huron before picking up a road win against the Flint Generals.

Wednesday, December 22nd vs. Port Huron 6-4 L: With the Beacons leading 2-0, Jeff Goldie tallied two goals to tie the game. David Bonk gave the Mechanics a 3-2 lead, but Port Huron was able to battle back for the 6-4 win.

Sunday, December 26th @ Flint 3-2 Shootout WIN: For the second time in two games, the Mechanics found themselves in a 2-0 hole. But Blair Manning and Kyle Kos evened the game and sent these two teams into a shootout. Matt Hunter and Kos each scored in the shootout to give the Mechanics their seventh win of the season. In goal, Rod Branch made 41 saves for Motor City.

Game Time Change: The Motor City Mechanics would like to announce that all Sunday games remaining this season have been changed from 7:30pm to 5:00 pm. This will begin Sunday, January 2nd against the Kansas City Outlaws.

Meet Spongebob and Dora: Meet Spongebob Squrepants and Dora The Explorer at the Mechanics game this Wednesday, December 29th. The Mechanics take on the Kalamazoo wings at 7:30 pm.
