The Richmond RiverDogs are now 15-14-2 after going 2-1 last week. The âDogs are third in the Eastern Division, one point ahead of Elmira. The âDogs host Danbury Friday while facing all three of their divisional rivals on the road this week. Happy New Year!

GAME NOTES: The ninth of 17 meetings and the sixth of eight in Glens Falls. The âDogs are 4-3-1 vs. the Frostbite, 2-2-1 on the road. Mark Turner has 11 points vs. the Frostbite. Justin Kelly has 11 vs. Richmond. Adirondack has lost in regulation just once in their last 11 games.

GAME NOTES: The seventh of 17 meetings and the fourth of eight in Richmond. Richmond is 2-4 vs. Danbury, 1-2 at home. David Hymovitz and Francis Belanger have six points vs. the East Division leading Trashers. Doug Christiansen has six vs. the âDogs.

GAME NOTES: The 10th of 17 meetings and the sixth of nine at Elmira. Richmond is 5-4 vs. the Jackals, 3-2 at Elmira. Francis Belanger and Jonathan Gagnon have eight points vs. the Jackals. Jason Sessa has 15 vs. the âDogs. The âDogs are looking for their third straight win at Elmira.

GAME NOTES: The âDogs rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Jackals. Jonathan Gagnon scored the game-winner early in the third period. Gagnon and Francis Belanger had a goal and assist. Mark Langdon had two assists. The âDogs killed off six Jackals power plays.
Thursday, December 23 vs. Elmira LOSS 4-1
GAME NOTES: Elmira again jumped out to a 2-1 lead and put the game away with two goals in the third period. Carl Drakensjo and Trevor Burgess had a goal and assist for the Jackals. J.J. Wrobel scored Richmond's goal. The Jackals snapped a four game loosing streak against Richmond.
Sunday, December 26 vs. Adirondack WIN 3-2 (SO)
GAME NOTES: The âDogs rallied in the final minute to force the shootout. Mark Turner scored to tie the game with :23 to play. David Brosseau scored the winning goal in the shootout after Ryan McIntosh stopped five of six Frostbite. The âDogs out-shot the Frostbite 46-29.
DOG BITES: Richmond is 3-0-1 in their last four road games vs. Eastern Division opponents. The 'Dogs fired a season high 46 shots on goal Sunday vs. Adirondack. Mike Dombkiewicz and Simo Pulkki made their Richmond debuts Sunday. Mark Turner's goal with :23 to play that forced a shootout Sunday is his second game-tying goal with :23 to play vs. the Frostbite this season. Richmond has been out-shot just once in their last four games. The 'Dogs finished a seven game road trip Wednesday with a 3-3-1 record. Ryan Prentice seven game point scoring streak ended Thursday. He has points in eight of his last nine games. Francis Belanger has points in three straight games. Anthony DiPalma re-joined the 'Dogs Thursday. Richmond is 2-1 three games into a stretch of seven straight vs. Eastern Division opponents. Ryan McIntosh is now 3-0 vs. Elmira this season. Three of the 'Dogs five shootouts have been against Adirondack. Sunday's shootout was the first at home since opening night and the 'Dogs first home shootout win of the season. David Hymovitz is tied for 14th in the league in scoring. Trevor Senn is tied for the league lead in penalty minutes and is third in majors. Ryan Prentice is third in shooting percentage. Kyle Sheen is tied for the UHL lead in rookie penalty minutes. Sheen and Mark Langdon are tied for second in the league in game winning goals by a rookie.
