Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen are proud to announce they will auction off their most sought-after jerseys - the season-long white uniforms - after the first home playoff game next week at Carver Arena. The white sweaters, complete with navy, red and gold trimming, have been worn in more than 25 games this season and bare Peoria's inaugural logo in the Southern Professional Hockey League.
Once auctioned off, each jersey will be signed on the number by that specific player and jerseys can by picked up at the Rivermen office five days after the postseason ends. All uniforms must be paid in full at the time of the auction.
The league's official start date for the 2014 President's Cup playoffs is Tuesday, March 25. However, the date of Peoria's first home game has yet to be determined and could fall as late as Friday, March 28.
The Rivermen return to action tonight for a 6:05 pm CST puck drop against the Fayetteville FireAntz at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The game can be heard locally on CD Country 107.9 FM or online here . Fans can also follow along via the live video and audio stream at www.americaonesports.com .
