
SPHL Announces Suspensions

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced the following suspensions:
Huntsville's Paul Kurceba
Huntsville's Paul Kurceba has been suspended three games for his actions in Game 270, Huntsville at Knoxville, played on Thursday, March 20. At 19:25 of the third period, Kurceba was assessed a game misconduct under Rule 40.4, Physical Abuse of Official (Category III).
Kurceba will miss Huntsville's games against Louisiana on March 21 and Columbus on March 22. He will also miss Huntsville's first playoff game (date/opponent TBD).
Knoxville's David Segal
Knoxville's David Segal has been suspended two games for his actions in Game 270, Huntsville at Knoxville, played on Thursday, March 20. At 19:25 of the third period, Segal deliberately and recklessly elbowed a Huntsville player in the face, causing injury.
Segal will miss Knoxville's games against the Mississippi RiverKings on March 21 and Louisiana on March 22.
