Moss walks off the 'Dogs winners, 10-9

Brandon Moss's RBI double in the last of the ninth inning, lifting the Sea Dogs to a 10-9, come-from-behind victory over the Binghamton Mets on Monday night at Hadlock Field. Luis Jimenez led off the inning with a double and was replaced by pinch-runner Zach Borowiak, who scored the game-winner.

Portland trailed 5-0 after a 1/2 inning but scored two runs in each of the first two innings to cut the deficit to one. Jose Vaquedano lasted only three and 2/3 innings, surrendering six hits, nine runs (eight earned) and a two-run homer to Michel Abreu.

Binghamton starter Miguel Pinango, who no-hit the 'Dogs on July 23, suffered his toughest outing of the season, allowing nine runs (five earned) in four and 2/3 innings.

Portland tied the game at nine when Dusty Brown crushed a two-out, three-run homer in the fifth inning. The Sea Dogs' bullpen worked five and 1/3 scoreless innings, scattering five hits, two walks and five strikeouts.

Jon Searles (7-3) pitched the final two innings to earn the victory. Lino Urdaneta faced two batters to suffer the loss for Binghamton.

Notes...Portland has won three straight - all in their final at-bat...David Bacani improved his hitting streak to seven-games...Chris Durbin went 3-for-5, finishing a home run shy of the cycle.
