Belleville Bulls News Release
BELLEVILLE, ON - The Belleville Bulls continue a weekend home-and-home with Ottawa 67's at the Yardmen Arena on Saturday night. The 67's downed the Bulls for a second time this season at TD Place in our Nation's Capital on Friday. Saturday's match up will be the third meeting between the two clubs in the last ten days. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm.
The 67's have are now 6-5 over their last eleven contests. 1996-born centre Dante Salituro, who has buried 6 goals in the last 6 games, continues to lead his squad with 22 goals and 11 helpers. Sophomore winger Travis Konecny has pitched in with 11 markers and 14 assists in 28 games played.
Russian product Leo Lazarev has played in 13 contests and owns .879 save percentage. Lazarev is expected to start again tonight as Herbst's remains out with an injury. The 67's are now fifth in the Eastern Conference standings with a 14-12-1-1 record.
While the Bulls are still without Elie, their top scorer, they welcomed back veteran forward Jake Marchment, who played in his first game since serving a 15 game suspension.
Elie, who has posted 12 goals and added 19 assists, has travelled to Toronto to take part in the Canadian National Junior Team selection camp. Marchment returns to the line up for the first time since the beginning of November. The Courtice, Ontario native has 3 goals and 4 assists in 16 games played.
Newly reacquired over age defenceman, Adam Bignell returns to the line up after sitting 2 games for a staged fight with Jacob Graves of the Kingston Frontenacs.
Netminder Charlie Graham has played in 26 games this season. The Toronto native has a .916 save percentage and a 3.27 goals against average. Rookie Connor Hicks saw some minutes on Friday night as he started the third period. Hicks made 10 saves in the loss. Forward Adam Laishram was the lone goal scorer for the Bulls.
With a possible two points on the line, the Bulls will look to bounce back after falling 4-1 in front of 3,442 fans on Friday night.
