
Monday's Doubleheader at Mobile Postponed by Wet Field Conditions

MOBILE, AL - Monday's doubleheader to open the series between the Mississippi Braves and Mobile BayBears at Hank Aaron Stadium has been postponed due to wet field conditions. As a result of back-to-back postponements, doubleheaders have been scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at Hank Aaron Stadium, with each beginning at 5:05 pm. The series will conclude on Thursday with a single game.
Tuesday and Wednesday's contests will be seven innings in length, with game two starting 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The Braves are coming off of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday and winning four of five from the Chattanooga Lookouts. Mississippi finds themselves just 3.0 games back of first place Pensacola in the South Division standings with 16 games remaining, including four doubleheaders, over the final 14 days of the season.
Mississippi is 8-7 in seven-inning contests this season and will be playing their second doubleheader of the year at Mobile on Monday. The BayBears and Braves split a twin bill back on April 23 at Hank Aaron Stadium.
The pitching matchups for Tuesday's doubleheader have not yet been determined.
