
Smokies Will Host Beerfest Presented by Quaker Steak & Lube on August 25

SEVIERVILLE - The Smokies have announced that the team will be hosting the inaugural Tennessee Smokies BeerFest presented by Quaker Steak & Lube on Saturday, August 25, 2018. The event will take place from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and will feature over 30 breweries and over 100 beers. A portion of ticket proceeds benefit the Asian Culture Center of Tennessee and the Knox Asian Festival.
The event will take place on the concourse of Smokies Stadium with much of the event taking place in a covered area. Tickets to the BeerFest will include admission, tasting glass, unlimited pours, and a Smokies Baseball ticket good for one of the last five home games in the 2018 Smokies Baseball season.
Regular tickets are just $45 when purchased in advance, prices go up to $50 on the day of the event. VIP tickets will be available for purchase for $75 and will include all aspects of a general ticket plus early entry at 3:00pm and exclusive access to a picnic-style buffet catered by Calhoun's. The buffet will include hickory smoked pork barbecue, smoked barbecue chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, spinach artichoke dip with tortilla chips, a hot dog bar, chocolate chip cookies, and Pepsi products / bottled water. The VIP picnic buffet will begin at 4:30pm and last for two full hours. VIP tickets must be purchased no later than August 22.
The event will feature live music from Stephen Goff & The Royals, "ballpark street food", and guest chosen "best brew" awards. Vendor booths are available for any non-food vendors and can be reserved by contacting events@smokiesbaseball.com. Specialty beer festival t-shirts will be on sale in the Smokies GoTeez Locker Room retail store for just $18/each.
There are several ways to safely enjoy the event. There will be free shuttle service to and from Knoxville with pick-up times starting at 2:30pm at Cool Beans in Knoxville (1817 Lake Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916). The last shuttle is scheduled to depart Smokies Stadium to return to Knoxville at 8:30pm. Designated Driver tickets can be purchased for just $10. They include admission to the event only. Lastly, the Hampton Inn & Suites (105 Stadium Dr, Kodak, TN 37764) located walking distance from Smokies Stadium is offering a 20% discount to guests that say they are attending the beer festival.
