Monday's Daylight Game Moved to 4
February 11, 2016 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Portland Winterhawks News Release
The Portland Winterhawks have moved Monday's Daylight Game by one hour to 4 p.m. With the curtains open in Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the game, the new start time will ensure any sunlight is off the playing surface by the time the game starts.
"The new 4 p.m. game time will still allow daylight in the arena, but the safety of the players is our highest priority. By moving the start time by an hour the players won't be dealing with sun glare at ice level," said Portland Winterhawks President Doug Piper.
Tickets for the game are still available at Winterhawks.com, ticketmaster.com, or in person at the Rose Quarter box office or the Winterhawks' ticket office inside Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Group tickets include free Winterhawks hats starting at only $18 each while ticket plans begin at $90 each and include free Winterhawks scarves. Email seats@winterhawks.com or call 503-236-HAWK to buy seats today.
