Monarchs Voted Best NH Sports Team For Third Straight Year

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have been crowned "Best NH Sports Team" by the readership of New Hampshire Magazine, the state's largest lifestyle magazine. The Monarchs were also honored with the same award in 2004 and in 2003. Thousands of readers responded to the magazine's annual poll. A complete list of this year's winners and editorial picks will be published in the magazine's July issue.

Several of this year's winning entries will be on display when the magazine hosts its annual "Best Of NH" celebration at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Thursday, June 23. The celebration will last from 5:30-8:30 p.m., with proceeds from the event benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire. More than 60 booths with food and drink are expected, along with clowns, jugglers and other roving performers and celebrities.
