The Cleveland Barons will begin an Online Jersey Auction on Wednesday, May 11th at approximately 8:00pm. To bid on a jersey, go to http://broadcast.sjsharks.com/link.asp?l=1&mid=4179&lid=14588.
The following jersey's will be available for bidding:
#10 - CHRISTIAN EHRHOFF Game-Worn Home Jersey of Cleveland Barons defenseman Christian Ehrhoff. Ehrhoff represented the Barons at the 2005 AHL All-Star Game as a member of the PlanetUSA All-Stars. He led all AHL defensemen by blistering 237 shots on net this season. Ehrhoff led the Barons defensemen in goals (12), assists (23), points (35), power play goals (7), and first goals (4). Ehrhoff has appeared in two World Championships (2005, 2003), one Olympics (2002), one World Cup of Hockey (2004), and one World Junior Championship (2001) for his native country of Germany. Jersey has wear and tear, specifically board burns on the right and left elbows.
#4 - JIM FAHEY Game-Worn Home Jersey of Cleveland Barons defenseman Jim Fahey. He finished second among Barons defensemen in assists (22) and points (26) in the 2004-05 season. Fahey was the San Jose Sharks Rookie of the Year in 2002. He was also a Hobey Baker Award Finalist following his senior season at Northeastern University. The jersey shows stick marks, as well as board burns.
#7 â JOSH GORGES Game-Worn Home Jersey of Cleveland Barons defenseman Josh Gorges. Gorges was honored as the Barons Rookie of the Year for the 2004-05 season. He was also co-recipient of the Barons Rubbermaid Player of the Year Award. As a rookie, he appeared in 74 games for the Barons totaling four goals and eight assists (4-8-12). Gorges previously played for his hometown Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League and led the team to a Memorial Cup Championship. He was also a member of the Silver Medal-winning 2004 World Junior Championship team for Canada. The jersey shows extreme board burns on both elbows.
#32 â DIMITRI PATZOLD Game-Worn Road Jersey of Cleveland Barons goaltender Dimitri Patzold. Patzold recorded 18 wins on the season, bettering his career mark of 10 set last season. The native of Kazakhstan finished the season with an 18-16-5 record. His 2.58 goals against average was 25th in the league and his .911 save percentage was 27th best in the league. Patzold appeared in the 2002 and 2003 World Junior Championships for Germany. The jersey is complete with an apparent blood stain on the right arm. There is a patch job below the Barons crest on the front of the jersey as well as several stick marks covering the material.
#6 â DOUG MURRAY Game-Worn Road Jersey of Cleveland Barons defenseman Doug Murray. He surpassed his point total of last season (22), by finishing strong with 12 points (2-10-12) in his last 19 games. On the season, Murray recorded 6 goals and 17 assists in 54 games. The bruising defenseman was the co-recipient of the Rubbermaid Player of the Year, along with Josh Gorges. The native of Bromma, Sweden was a four-year standout at Cornell University. The jersey is complete with several blood stains on the sleeves. The jersey has three repair jobs including a three-inch gash on the left sleeve, a two-inch gash on the left shoulder, and a one-inch gash on the left shoulder. The entire jersey displays heavy wear-and-tear from board burns over the course of the season.
#22 â RYANE CLOWE Game-Worn Road Jersey of Cleveland Barons left wing and alternate captain Ryane Clowe. Clowe was named the Cleveland Barons Most Valuable Player for the 2004-05 season. With his 62 points, he amassed the second-most prolific offensive season in Barons history. Only Miroslav Zalesak produced more points in a season, totaling 75 points (35-40-75) in 2003-04. Clowe, a second-year professional, led the Barons in points (62), goals (27), assists (35), plus/minus (+19), multi-point games (16), power play points (23), and power play goals (14). The left breast displays Clowe's "A" as he served one of the Barons Alternate Captains during the season. Several distinct stick marks are evident on the front and back of the jersey.
#57- MARCEL GOC Game-Worn Road Jersey of Cleveland Barons center and alternate captain Marcel Goc. Goc finished his second North American season by equaling or bettering all of his offensive numbers from his rookie season. The highest drafted player of German descent in NHL history (20th overall in 2001) registered 16 goals and 34 assists for 50 points in 76 games. Goc broke the Barons franchise record by recording an assist in seven consecutive games from 2/19/05 to 3/10/05. Goc has played in several International tournaments with Germany including: two World Championships (2005, 2003), one World Cup of Hockey (2004), and one World Junior Championship (2002). The jersey is complete with blood stains on the sleeves. Stick marks are extremely evident along the bottom of the front of the jersey.
PIGSKIN ON THE POND II
#20 â MIROSLAV ZALESAK Game-Worn Cleveland Barons "Pigskin on the Pond II" jersey worn by forward Miroslav Zalesak. The brown and orange patterned jersey was worn on December 5th, 2003 as an alternate uniform to commemorate a promotion with the Cleveland Browns. Zalesak recorded the most-prolific season in the history of the Barons in 2003-04 registering 75 points (35-40-75). Zalesak was honored as a member of the Planet USA All-Star team at the 2004 AHL All-Star Game. Zalesak is the Barons all-time leader in goals (84), assists (82), and points (166).
#5 â GARRETT STAFFORD Game-Worn Cleveland Barons "Pigskin on the Pond II" jersey worn by defenseman Garrett Stafford. The brown and orange patterned jersey was worn on December 5th, 2003 as an alternate uniform to commemorate a promotion with the Cleveland Browns. Stafford was the Barons Rookie of the Year for the 2003-04 season. His 46 points (12-34-46) tied for the team lead among all rookies and they were the most among any rookie defenseman in the league. Stafford was a member of the 2004 AHL All Star Game as a member of the PlanetUSA All-Stars. At the end of the season, Stafford was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team and as an AHL Second Team All-Star. Stick marks are visible on the white stripes on each arm of the jersey.
#33 â NOLAN SCHAEFER Game-Worn Cleveland Barons "Pigskin on the Pond II" jersey worn by goaltender Nolan Schaefer. The brown and orange patterned jersey was worn on December 5th, 2003 as an alternate uniform to commemorate a promotion with the Cleveland Browns. It was worn during Schaefer's second career AHL game against the St. John's Maple Leafs. Schaefer earned the victory in a 42-save performance despite suffering a knee injury in the second period. Although he finished the game, Schaefer would miss the next 15 games due to the injury. Schaefer finished the season with a 14-7-3 record with a 2.34 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.
#16 â NIKO DIMITRAKOS Game-Issued Cleveland Barons "Pigskin on the Pond II" jersey of forward Niko Dimitrakos. Dimitrakos was on recall with the San Jose Sharks when the Barons hosted the St. John's Maple Leafs on December 5th, 2003 and donned the alternate brown and orange jersey to commemorate a promotion with the Cleveland Browns. Dimitrakos spent seven games with the Barons during the 2003-04 season registering 8 points. In his short time, Dimitrakos earned the AHL Player of the Week on October 27th, 2003, the same day he was recalled by the Sharks. Dimitrakos earned the Barons Rookie of the Year award for the 2002-03 season.
#13 â TODD HARVEY Game-Issued Cleveland Barons "Pigskin on the Pond II" jersey of forward Todd Harvey. Harvey was with the San Jose Sharks when the Barons hosted the St. John's Maple Leafs on December 5th, 2003 and donned the alternate brown and orange jersey to commemorate a promotion with the Cleveland Browns. Harvey began the season with the Barons, but was recalled by the San Jose Sharks on November 16th, 2003. In his 13 games with the Barons, Harvey collected 6 goals and 1 assist.
#6 â DOUG MURRAY Game-Worn Cleveland Barons "Pigskin on the Pond II" jersey worn by defenseman Doug Murray. The brown and orange patterned jersey was worn on December 5th, 2003 as an alternate uniform to commemorate a promotion with the Cleveland Browns. Doug Murray posted a +1 plus/minus in the game. The hard-hitting graduate of Cornell University finished the season with 10 goals and 12 assists in 2003-04. This past season, Murray was honored as the co-winner of the Rubbermaid Player of the Year.
#57 â MARCEL GOC Game-Worn Cleveland Barons "Pigskin on the Pond II" jersey worn by center Marcel Goc. The brown and orange patterned jersey was worn on December 5th, 2003 as an alternate uniform to commemorate a promotion with the Cleveland Browns. Goc recorded his first multi-point game as a North American professional that night with a 3-assist performance. The highest drafted player of German descent in the history of the NHL (20th overall, 2001), Goc went on play the hero in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. In just his second NHL game, Goc scored the game-winning, series-clinching goal in Game 6 in San Jose's series against Colorado. Goc has played in several International tournaments with Germany including: two World Championships (2005, 2003), one World Cup of Hockey (2004), and one World Junior Championship (2002).
