
Monarchs Sign Toffoli to Tryout

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed center Tyler Toffoli to an amateur tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Toffoli, 18, recently wrapped up his third season playing for the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). While leading the 67's in goals (57) and points (108) this past season, he was also second on the team in assists (51). The center also finished the season tied for first in the OHL in points with 108 (57-51108), alongside right wing Jason Akeson of the Kitchener Rangers.
The 6-foot-1, 183-pound native of Toronto, Ontario played in the OHL All Star Game for the Eastern Conference All Stars, where he tallied five assists.
Toffoli has recorded 238 points (111-127238) and 103 penalty minutes through 188 games with the 67's over the last three seasons. He also played in 23 playoff games with the 67's, recording 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points (12-1729).
Originally selected by the Kings in the second-round (47th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Toffoli will wear No. 16 for the Monarchs.
