
Marlies Announce Roster Moves

Dave Nonis, General Manager of the Toronto Marlies, announced today that the club has added forwards Jerry D'Amigo and Andrew Crescenzi to their roster. In addition, the Marlies have reassigned forwards Dale Mitchell and Robert Slaney to the Reading Royals of the ECHL.
D'Amigo, 20, skated in 41 games with the Marlies earlier this season, posting 14 points (five goals and nine assists) to go along with 23 penalty minutes. At the beginning of February, the 5'11, 213-pound forward was reassigned to the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League. In 21 games with the Rangers, D'Amigo recorded 12 goals and 16 assists for 38 points with a plus 11 rating. The Binghamton, New York native also skated in seven playoff games with Kitchener, registering a team high (tie) six goals and also added three assists.
Crescenzi, 18, skated in 55 games this season with the Kitchener Rangers, posting 23 points (12 goals, 11 assists) and 74 penalty minutes. The 6'4, 199-pound forward skated in seven playoff games with the Rangers, recording a goal and an assist. The Thornhill, Ontario native was signed as a free agent with the Toronto Maple Leafs on September 24, 2010.
Mitchell, 21, played in 49 games with the Marlies this season, registering 13 points (five goals, eight assists) and 29 penalty minutes. Mitchell will join the Reading Royals in their playoff series against the Cincinnati Cyclones. In five games this season with the Royals, Mitchell notched two goals and two assists.
Slaney, 22, appeared in nine games with the Marlies this season, recording one assist and two penalty minutes. The 6'2, 211-pound forward recorded his first point (assist) of the season with Toronto last night in the Marlies 3-2 loss at Lake Erie. In 61 games with the Royals this season, Slaney tallied 24 points (seven goals, 17 assists) and 34 penalty minutes.
Marlies defenceman Juraj Mikus has been reassigned and will join Team Slovakia at the 2011 IIHF World Championships in Slovakia.
The Marlies host the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Toronto closes out their 2010-11 regular season live on Leafs TV on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. against the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.
