Monday, April 18, 2016 - 7 p.m. - Glens Falls Civic CenterHEAD-TO-HEAD - The Monarchs and Thunder meet in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals tonight from Glens Falls, N.Y. The Monarchs will look to avoid elimination, as they trail the series, three games to none.
NEED THE POWER - Matt Fornataro scored the Monarchs first power-play-goal of the post-season Saturday night, bringing the Monarchs to 1-for-12 in the series with the man-advantage (8.3%). During the regular season, the Monarchs ranked 2nd in the ECHL in road power play success, converting on 22.8% of their chances.
SILENCE THE TUNDER - The Monarchs need to contain Wolfe, Heard, MacArthur and Michael Kirkpatrick to get back in this series. The Thunder forwards rank 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th in ECHL playoff scoring. The four leading Thunder have accounted for 21 of Adirondack's 30 points over the course of the series (70%).
SLOW STARTS - The Monarchs will need to get off to a better start tonight if they hope to extend the series. Through the first three games, the Thunder have outscored the Monarchs, 7-2 in the first two periods.
STREAKING - Maxim Kitsyn has picked up where he left off during the regular season, and is riding a three-game point streak in the playoffs. The forward has scored three points on two goals and one assist.
